Big Bill Supports Tom Udall for New Mexico Senate Seat

Tom Udall is one of our best, brightest and most talented democratic candidates in this state. His views on issues are clear, concise, and right on target every single time. He will become a historic senator for the State of New Mexico in the very near future. Jeff Bingaman and Tom Udall will make an unbeatable team that will lead our country back in the right direction when it comes to the economy, the war in Iraq, and education. We could not have a better dream team as our U.S. Senators.

Today I got an email from our Governor, Bill Richardson, and this is some of what it said:

“My Friend Tom Udall‏

Dear Mary,

I've known Tom Udall for more than 25 years. But more than just being my good friend, he has shown himself time and again to be a voice for reason and solid Democratic values.

In fact, he was one of the very few Members of Congress to have the courage to vote against the War in Iraq, even when George W. Bush was stampeding the entire country into an invasion that we now know was completely unjustified and ultimately deeply damaging to America. You, I and all of America need his wisdom now in the U.S. Senate--particularly when we've seen how 49 Republicans can block the entire progress of the country through political maneuvering and threats of filibuster.”

I stand firmly on my support of Tom Udall for our next U.S. Senator.

Like always our Governor is engaged in the process of encouraging activists to stand strong for our party and to be positive roll models for the voting public. I find that with representatives like him that our job of getting good, caring, honest and strong democratic candidates elected is made a great deal easier. Governor Richardson is always the first to add a kind word (not that he would admit it) when he sees that someone is working hard to make our party stronger.
