The leaves are on the ground and on my car, Thanksgiving is done and now it is time to shop for Christmas. Today is Black Friday and I must admit to staying home and visiting my local parks on foot. I do my shopping a lot earlier and enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors on Black Friday.Santa may not be as rich this year but you always find money when it comes to your kid. Please don’t forget that the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County is taking coats and gift cards for homeless children until December 18.
The cold weather makes it feel like winter but that is still almost a month away. It is a good time to curl up with a good book and enjoy staying home. The next election will not be until February. We will not know for sure if any of the current school board members will even have opponents until mid December.
So it is the time of year to enjoy family and relax for the next few weeks.
