Who will run for election in 2010? I have been hearing some interesting views on who the Republican Party will be putting up for election in 2010. First will Heather Wilson be running for her old congressional seat or will she run for New Mexico Governor. Second will Steve Pearce run for his old congressional seat or will he also make a run for the governor’s seat. What can we say: “been there seen that race before in the primary.” Third will Darren White run for the Mayor of Albuquerque or will he try to run for one of the other seats up for election.
I can honestly say that I am not in love with any of those candidates but then again I am a democrat so I favor our elected officials. One does have to wonder just who would win if the Mayor’s race was between Marty Chavez and Darren White since neither did terribly well in the 2008 elections.
Surely we can be looking at leading democratic candidates in our state for the next governor of our state and mayor of our fair city. We have a number of good people who would do a much better job of balancing our budget and providing the services and foresight that this state needs to improve the quality of life for every New Mexican.
