In an Ideal World—Healthcare Insurance Reform

If people would just listen to what President Obama wants as healthcare reform then they would agree with him since he has an extraordinary common sense approach that would work. I can never find any point that he makes when it comes to healthcare insurance reform where I could disagree with him. He is what a true progressive is in every word he says. We could fix the healthcare system tomorrow if what he wants is passed into law.

The problem is that he is not writing the healthcare reform bill. The gang of six is doing that for the senate and I have major problems with what the republican controlled press which is the only press they are talking to is saying about their views of healthcare reform. I have problems with their staff members who don’t care what the voters think and are not listen but instead putting out misconceptions about what their employers stand for in the first place.

I would encourage these men who have the future of our healthcare reform laws in their hands to hold town hall meetings and speak with the voting public. Listen to what the president is saying and give the man what he wants because what he wants is what the American voting public wants as well. Pay for the plan in the why the president wants it paid for and stop trying to push the cost off on people who are too sick and too poor to pay for healthcare in this country. Give the president his vision of a public option and stop telling your voters that this idea in on the ropes.

The one good thing is that we have three progressives in the house and the senate who do care about the voting public and who are holding town hall meetings. The house is fighting hard to provide a bill that would give the president what he wants so with any hope at all these men can offset any damage done by the gang of six to healthcare reform.
