The Republican Attack Machine at Work in New Mexico

The Republicans here in New Mexico are doing a great job of attacking each other even before we get to the general election. I like most democrats don’t look forward to that behavior in the general election. Our party locally has tried very hard to stay on issues and not attack people or misrepresent their voting history. I do wish both Hillary and Barack would stay on the issues and not resource to personal attacks. Still we all know that McCain will stop at nothing to win and he has the most experienced attack machine in history to help him in the fall. In some cases having two candidates has helped because McCain can not go after any one individual until after the final decision is made for our party. It is only too clear that his party will not care about his views when it comes to the level of attacking the democratic nominee.

Pearce attacks Wilson

Heather Wilson is being attacked by Steve Pearce for missing votes during the campaign season. His ads have painted her as a liberial.

Wilson on the other hand attacked Pearce for his votes on the Labs up north.

Carraro attacks White

Joe Carraro made it to the television today with an ad that attacked Darren White as just another republican like the ones in Washington who are not that popular with the general public. He pointed out that Albuquerque’s crime rate has only gone up during the time that White has been sheriff. He also pointed out to voters that White has no experience and won’t know his way around in Washington.

One does have to wonder why anyone would want to vote for these candidates after they have been put through their own party’s meat grinder of an attack machine. Want to talk about alligators eating their own young.
