State Democratic Party Chairman and Super delegate Brian Colon says “Yes we can New Mexico!”

State Party Chairman Brian Colon says yes we can move our state forward toward a positive future. He sees a future for New Mexico of hope and prosperity; one where all New Mexicans are embraced in our party. Chairman Colon started out his term as State Democratic Party leader by reaching out to every democrat in every part of our state. His goal is to be an inclusive not exclusive party leader.

While Chairman Colon is embracing the message of hope and change he is not embracing the republican message of angry and fears that is bombarding our families and communities everyday here in New Mexico. The Democratic Party has a clear message for the Republican Party take you meat grinding hate filled attack machine out of our state because we don’t want to hear that message any longer.

The Democratic Party has embraced a platform which is full of hope for the future of our country. We want to end the war in Iraq and bring our young men and women home safe to their families. We want to protect our environment and move our country toward energy independents. We want our children to receive a high quality public education which includes math and science that will give them the hope of a good paying job in the future. We want our country to be a respected leader around the world.

Congressman Tom Udall who will be our next U.S. Senator come November has based his career on a message of hope for the future and care of our present environment and educational system. While his republican counter parts have worked hard to fill our communities with attack messages on each other Congressman Udall has been spreading a low key message of hope and prosperity for New Mexico residents. He is working hard to bring a new positive direction to our national labs where they uses their skills to help improve the lives of all Americans while still keeping the core directive of providing for a strong defense of our country.

We have an excess of quality candidates for the three congressional seats in this state and each one brings a message of hope for the future and positive progress for our state. While the party must give each candidate the equal opportunity to get their message out to the voting public we want them to know that they are all valued as quality individuals who bring the party message of hope for our future. We look forward to more spirited debates on the issues and we look forward to hearing how they plan to bring positive change to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Today the Democratic Party of New Mexico truly has the audacity to hope for a brighter future for our state and our nation.
